My Favorites Things
I am ALWAYS on the search for those hidden gems – great quality products at a reasonable price. From Amazon purchases to the Dollar Tree, TJ Maxx and beyond, my love for “research” leaves me with a lot of good (and not so good) feelings on products that I’d love to share with you all. Getting the most bang for your buck is something that is important to most people, but sometimes the fear of getting swindled on a “too-good-to-be-true” product keeps us from taking that gamble.
With my vast knowledge and experience on the subject – mild sarcasm here – I felt compelled to share my stand out, must have, have multiples of them, holy grail products with you all. These aren’t first impressions, these are tested in the real world, and have passed the test in my opinion. I hope these links are helpful to you! If you do decide to make a purchase following one of my links, I will earn a small commission that will help to fund my small business. Thank you if you choose to support me in that way.
Enough of that, on to the products!!
This $7 20 Oz Double-Wall Insulated Stainless Steel Tumbler from Harbor Freight is the REAL DEAL. Compare to the Yeti Rambler which will set you back a cool $30, the HF Tumbler is heavy-duty, nice looking, and best if all it keeps your hot liquids hot for HOURS! I’ve turned so many people on to these, and for good reason. For $6.99 you can’t beat it!
If you haven’t gotten on the Instant Pot train, you are missing out! Before I received one as a gift, I thought it was another unnecessary appliance to take up space in my kitchen cupboards. This appliance blew my socks off, and has replaced other appliances! It makes perfect rice in minutes, without the mess you can get from some rice cookers, and turns cheaper cuts of meat into tender, delectable morsels!
One of my biggest goals for 2019, and every year, is to drink more water. For a long time I was using large glass Mason Jars with straw lids, but the size and material wasn’t always convenient. Ever since I found the Simple Modern Summit Water Bottle and got their straw lid, I have been able to easily drink more than a gallon of water a day!
These spice jars are perfect for the Type-A organizing fanatic that I am. These jars allow all of your spice containers to be the same size, and be labeled for easy access! Use a stacked organizer for inside the cupboard, or dividers to organize in your kitchen drawer for the ultimate spice collection!
If you are a coffee lover and a coconut lover like I am, then you will LOVE this Coconut Skinny Girl Coffee Syrup! They make a ton of delicious flavors, but I think the coconut flavor is more commonly used for fruity drinks, and the combo with coffee is amazing. Check out your local TJ Maxx and Marshall’s, many times they carry them! The Caramel Creme flavor is amazing too! Try them all, and get the pumps here for your own little coffee bar at home!
The Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is the best makeup sponge I’ve tried. Beauty Blenders are nice, but at $20 each, it was more of an investment than I wanted to make. Some other sponges can be really dense and hard, making the makeup application difficult and uncomfortable. I’ve gone through countless RT Sponges, and with how readily available they are, and the great price point, you can’t beat them!
Maybelline has been a favorite foundation brand of mine from the drugstore for years. When they came out with a full coverage foundation with a pump, I was excited to give it a try! This has great coverage without being overly thick or cakey, and it wears well throughout the day! It’s now my go-to foundation, I’m on my 6th bottle!
The mascara that swept the beauty industry! L’Oreal’s Lash Paradise Mascara came out and was immediately called a “dupe” for the Better Than Sex Mascara from Too Faced, and many beauty YouTubers claimed it was even better! I, of course, HAD to try it, and I’ve never gone back. Holds a great curl, doesn’t flake or smudge, and it’s extremely affordable.
