I have had my Cricut Explore for years and was very lucky to be gifted a Cricut Maker to take my “Cricutting” to the next level! While setting up my new Maker in my workshop, I realized that the vinyl storage solution I had just wasn’t going to cut it anymore.Fast forward to a quick trip to T.J.Maxx, of course, and I found a set of acrylic refrigerator organization trays that were the perfect size to store rolls of vinyl. I snagged three of these knowing that I wanted to separate my vinyl into the categories of matte, glossy, and HTV or heat transfer vinyl.PRO TIP:Â If you purchase vinyl by the roll, many times they come wrapped around a cardboard tube which takes up a ton of space. If you remove the cardboard tube and then roll the vinyl it will allow for many more rolls of vinyl to fit into a smaller space. Another “resolution” I have for 2021 is to get more use out of my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil, so I started playing around on the Cricut Design Space app on my iPad to see what I could come up with for a design. Without my usual treasure trove of fonts on my MacBook Pro to choose from I thought I would try my hand at sketching out my labels with the Apple Pencil.I exported the designs to a JPEG and imported them into Cricut Design Space and converted them into a cut file. After measuring the trays and sizing the labels to the correct length, I cut them out using my Cricut Maker and a classic white glossy vinyl. I absolutely love how this project turned out and knew I had to share it with you all. Are you organizing your crafting space in 2021?
