Even with Syracuse University playing in the NCAA tournament at the same time, South Salina Street was lined with locals dressed all in green.  There was a sense of pride that filled the air, as well as the delicious smell of sausage, onion and green peppers on the vendor’s grills.  The parade featured everything from local Police Departments, to flocks of Irish Step Dancers, marching bands, a few Leprechauns and of course Coleman’s truck filled with the infamous Green Beer!  St Patrick’s Day Syracuse is a tradition that the whole city looks forward to, and a great way to get the community together and be a little silly! This slideshow requires JavaScript.
