Admittedly, as a parent I’ve put more into, and gotten more out of these events than my daughter has. From her first time on a boat, to her first Christmas, these milestones have given me opportunities to appreciate the little things in life. I have gotten so much joy out of creating thoughtful memories, and choosing each component with great attention to detail. I am a first time Mom after all, I’m allowed to be a little over the top, right!? My daughter’s first Easter was one of those milestones I started preparing for WAY ahead of time. Her Easter basket is something I know she will use for years to come, and I wanted to choose a beautiful and timeless basket and liner to use year after year for the fun treats the Easter Bunny brings! When I think classic children’s items, I always think of Pottery Barn Kids. Their pieces have become a household name and have remained staples for years. Their Anywhere Chair is a cult favorite, and their nursery decor remains classic while adapting with the changes in trends. When searching for an Easter Basket, I headed straight to PotteryBarnKids.com and searched through their wide range of options. I fell in love with the Natural Seagrass Easter Basket and knew I had to go ahead and get the large size so we could use it for years to come. I also loved the white color option, but I knew I wanted a white liner for her Easter basket, so I went with the classic natural color. Pottery Barn Kids has a ton of basket liners to choose from, but I didn’t quite fall in love with any of them – so I headed right to Etsy! I love shopping on Etsy. Having an Etsy shop myself, I get so much out of supporting other makers and small businesses, while getting handmade and one of a kind items for special moments like this. While browsing the huge selection of Easter basket liners on Etsy I found the adorable personalized liner from Porter Lane Home. I chose the white color, and the Everly font option. I love the simplicity of this style liner, and know that it will allow the goodies inside the basket to be the star of the show. (I’m also admittedly a sucker for personalized items of all kinds). You would think that choosing an Easter basket that my daughter would use her whole childhood would have been the hard part right? Well, once I got that part out of the way, I realized I had to choose what I was going to put IN the basket! Being my first time putting together an Easter basket I was a little unsure of where to start. I began compiling items over time and I think the final collection is sweet yet practical, and right in line with her development at this age and into the summer. Check out the items I chose to include in my Baby’s First Easter Basket! Fill Up Your Little Ones Easter Basket With These Goodies From Target! Bunny Ears Headband Wearable Party Accessory – Spritz™ I saw these cute bunny ears when I was making my rounds through Target and couldn’t resist! For $5 I couldn’t help myself – even if my baby won’t keep them on her head, I have to try right!? BUY HERE Baby Girls' 3pk Butterfly Floral Bodysuit – Just One You® made by carter's Pink I admittedly have a bit of an obsession with all things lemon. When I saw this 3-pack of onesies I had to get them. Why not fill up an Easter Basket with practical yet cute things! BUY HERE Baby Girls' 2pk Pull-On Pants – Just One You® made by carter's And I OBVIOUSLY had to get the matching pants. I mean come on, look at how cute those little lemon pants are! Target got me again with this one. BUY HERE Contigo 14oz Plastic Kids' Water Bottle A great option for kiddos who have mastered drinking from a straw! The Contigo water bottles are durable and easy to carry around, clip to a diaper bag or backpack, and keep little ones hydrated on the go! Plus they come in tons of fun styles and colors! BUY HERE Toddler Oscar Water Shoes – Cat & Jack™ As a family with a “camp” house on a local lake, we spend a lot of time by the water. I know our daughter will be walking this summer, so I had to get her some cute water shoes to keep her feet protected in the lake while exploring – with parental supervision of course! BUY HERE Munchkin Snack Catcher – 2pk Another must-have item for little hands who are becoming more independent. These Munchkin snack cups are a great way for kiddos to have their own snacks at the ready, but minimize how many get dropped on the floor! BUY HERE Bright Starts Press & Glow Spinner I got a great tip from one of Haley’s daycare teachers that they had a toy like this that she was in love with. I may have bought this a little too soon, since she has developed so much since then, but I’m sure she will love it! BUY HERE Muslin Quilt Blanket Lemons – Cloud Island™ Another lemon themed item, I know… but with summer right around the corner I couldn’t leave this one behind. (Plus it was on clearance that day for some reason, so I got a great deal!) BUY HERE Guess How Much I Love You – by Sam McBratney (Board Book) Of course I had to add a little board book for our evening story time. We have been reading short board books lately, and I thought this classic was a must-have, plus the bunnies are right on theme! BUY HERE I am so excited to present Haley with her first Easter Basket. Not only am I eager to see her reaction to a basket full of goodies from Target, it will be so fun to watch her use these items throughout the Spring and Summer as she continues to grow and learn. She is changing every day and I can’t get over how much her little personality is developing. I know we have so many amazing milestones ahead of us. As we get closer and closer to her first birthday celebration, I am so nostalgic about all of the firsts we have experienced this year, and how many more we have ahead of us.
